Advanced Graphics and Real-Time Rendering

Advanced Graphics and Real-Time Rendering is one of the 'optional' modules on the university course. In it, we investigate and implement advanced graphical techniques such as:

  • Normal Mapping

  • Parallax Mapping

  • Parallax Occlusion Mapping

  • Shadow Mapping

  • Screen Space Ambient Occlusion

  • Screen-Space visual effects like blurring and colour tint

The video above is a showcase of the assignment which I handed in for the 1st Semester of the module.

For the 2nd Semester, we will be looking at terrain generation using Perlin Noise, as well as forward and inverse kinematics for animations.
